Google Home and Chromecast not appearing on Spotify Connect or Device List

Google Home and Google Chromecast dont show devices available to connect to, only occasionally. It's not an issue with the Google Home or Chromecast because the devices appear in other apps for casting audio. (YouTube, Soundcloud) Only Spotify has issues with connecting to any Google devices. My Echo always appears, along with my Fire TV, but my Google devices only appear an 1/8 of the time. Mainly if I just say, "Ok Google play Spotify." It usually always works seamlessly by voice command. Just hardly ever through the devices list on my mobile phone (S7 Edge) or my Desktop (Windows). Anyone experiencing the same issues?

@Hubo thanks for the reply. I learned they don't support direct desktop play yet, good to know. But it doesn't solve the problem at hand directly. Still the same issue.

 @Hubo Sorry, the issue still isn't resolved. My phone spotify app still has connectivity issues with the Google Home. It does not see either of my Google Devices in spotify connect when they are recognized by other apps like soundcloud. I tried everything on the post you sent. Thanks.
