Home page shows items in vertical view on desktop and web player

Hi folk!

 

We have been receiving your reports that the home section of the desktop app and web player are displayed in a vertical view.

 

Our teams are looking into this as we write and hopefully we'll have more news soon.

The teams at Spotify have informed us that this is now fixed.

 

For anyone still experiencing this issue, please update your app to the latest version 🙂

I see, good to know we're not alone on this though, tried enough fixes for myself before checking these forums. Guess we just have to wait.

Now that Im checking out, it seems to be normal on both Windows 10 client and web player.Clipboard01.jpg

My spotify updated this morning and the issue appears to be resolved for me now.

I understand you were facing issues while you were using the web player and the desktop. Don't worry, we're here to assist you!
Can you please test it again and tell me if this issue persists? Probably something was happening in the backstage but now everything should be working fine.

We're glad to know this was fixed for most of you.

 

If any of you is still experiencing the issue, please try clearing the Hosts file with the steps shown on this thread.

 

If this doesn't do the trick, try using a friend or family member's account and check how the Home screen looks there. 

 

In case the issue persists in the other account, send us the make, model and operative system of your device, and Spotify's app version. This will help us investigate further. 

 

We'll be on the lookout.
