I Can't Play My Playlist

Status: Case Closed

Hi there! I recently made a new playlist on my laptop, and they work perfectly find. As soon as I get onto my phone, I get an error saying "Sorry, something went wrong. That didn't work. Please have another go." What do I do, or at least what's causing this? Thanks!

Hey @user-removed! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

That's odd! Could you try a quick log out and log back in for me? Also, if that didn't help, could you send over a screenshot of the error message? Let me know how you get on! 🙂

Have a great day!

This is the message I've been getting. I logged out and logged back in, nothing happened.

I'm not sure if this is also a contributing factor, but on my computer, songs from my playlist disappear after exiting out of Spotify and going back in. Everytime I exit out and go back in, some songs come backc and new ones go missing. I have gtried reinstalling Spotify, but that did not resolve the issue. If this is a separate problem, please let me know and I'll go elsewhere to fix this. Thank you.

Alfredo

Hey @user-removed, thanks for all the info!

Just to confirm, is this happening with songs from the Spotify catalog or local files you own? Also, please send us the exact Android and Spotify version numbers.

In the meantime, try using a different WiFi network to see if it helps.

Keep us posted.

@Alfredo

This is happening with songs from my local files.

The Spotify version I currently have is 8.4.7.1108

The Android version I have is 7.0

Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know.

In that case, could you make sure you're following the exact steps shown here to sync local files to your device? If it doesn't help, try changing the file types of your local files to see if it makes a difference.

Be sure to keep us in the loop 🙂
