Importing Local Files & Syncing to phone

Hi all,

 

I have been trying to import songs from my local files onto the desktop application of Spotify, and then add them to my phone so I can play them from the car.

 

I have had no issues importing them onto Spotify from my local files, however for some reason when i launch the application on my phone, i can see the playlist i have created for the imports, and my phone is saying '32 songs' inside the playlist, however when i go into the playlist....empty?

 

I have disabled my firewall, and these are the steps i have taken:

 

1) Set preferences to read files from my iTunes folder

2) Move songs from 'Local Files' into its own playlist

3) Downloaded the songs on the desktop

4) Launched Application on the phone

 

Please see pictures attached for details of the above...

 

Any insights as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

Just to confirm, have you tried following all the suggestions found on this page?

 

If none of them help, try reinstalling Spotify on both devices with these steps and check if the app behaves the same way.

i have uninstalled Spotify on both devices and re-tried all the steps mentioned on that page and same results. 

 

Any further ideas?

Could you let us know what device, Spotify and Android version you're using? Also, did this start happening after a specific update or event?

 

In the meantime, if you have an anti-virus suite running that includes a firewall, make sure to allow Spotify.exe.
