My Question or Issue

I'm really upset with my "As mais tocadas no seu 2018" playlist by Spotify. I've really liked tne 2016 and 2017 versions of it, but what whas my surprise when I saw a bunch of songs I've never heard on the list. All of these songs are really popular/mainstream, and I can only assume 2 thihgs: or someone else is accessing my account (which I seriously doubt, already checked it on my account settings, all devices are mine) or Spotify is intencionally putting some sponsored/label-payed songs on some people's 2018 playlist. I've searched online and saw more users having the same issue, with the same **bleep** songs, namely: "Gople Baixo - Ao vivo by Rob Nunes, Gusttavo Lima", "Fé by EME, Almy, Gabi Andrade", "Roda Gigante - Radio Edit by Thascya, Zerky", "Buá Buá by Naiara Azevedo", "Tudo o que eu queria by Maycon e Vinícius", "Menina by MC Fioti, MC Lan", "Faxina - Ao vivo by Fred & Gustavo", "Quem é que chora por mim by Leonardo". It really annoys me, as a premium user I don't want to hear sponsored songs, even less amongst my favourite songs onf 2018. Please, give me an satisfactory explanation and correct this as soon as possible.

recently, spotify just make the spotify wrapped and the top 100 songs playlist consist of the songs that we listened the most. but weirdly the playlist that spotify created for me consist songs that i rarely listened. there are also songs that i never heard before. and i did not share my account with anyone and i never leave my spotify playing in the background or left my account anywhere. compare to the 2017 which accurately consist of the songs that i played the most, the 2018 playlist is a bummer. i hope spotify could do something to make it right

I have the same problem and many of the songs in my 2018 playlist I have not heard before. I have songs in Arabic and some Indian music. Plus, several pop songs I’ve never heard. What’s up with that?

Did anyone else with spotify premium get their Top songs of 2018 playlist and it was completly wrong with songs you know were not top played and some were not even saved and have never been saved ? ? ? I'm not sure how they managed to mess it up so bad previous years 2016 /2017 we extreamly acurate and I really like that spotify does this

Hello,

We're receiving reports from users that their Wrapped 2018 Top 100 playlist contains songs that shouldn't be there.

Before you hit +VOTE and leave a comment, please be sure to find out that the following is not the case with your account:

  • Do you share your account with anyone else?
  • Do you sometimes leave Spotify playing in the background; not noticing what's currently playing?
  • Have you ever left your account available at a party/gathering, so people can add tracks to play?

If you are sure that the songs in the playlist are not accurate, please hit +VOTE. You'll be notified first about updates.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I don't share my account, I don't left my account
avaliable on parties. I do have, very few times, left it playing on the
background, but not enough times to have these songs to figure on the top
100. Besides, these named songs are from pretty differents genders than I
use to listen to, so I don't believe they would simply pop up on my random
following playlist (unless they are sponsored songs) and, being so
different from what I use to hear, I would probably notice it imediately.
Also grabs my attention the fact that I found other random users
complaining on Twitter about having the same songs on their playlists (you
can check it by yourself searching for "mais tocadas" + "nunca"), and they
also claim they never ever listen/search/play those songs.
Anyway, besides the explanation about this case, it would be great if i
could just delete these annoying songs from the list, I would be partially
satisfied.
Thank you again for the support.
Best regards,
yuriemeele

Have the exact same issue and I never shared my account with anyone. I don't have any of my Top 5 songs in my actual Top Songs of 2018 list and it's generally inaccurate...

Having the same issue. Some of my "top songs" I don't recognize. And I'm missing tons of songs i listened to quite a bit. The list feels so off because it mixes  songs I love and songs I only played a couple of times, I can't listen to it.

I have a song in my Wrapped 2018 playlist that I actually "disliked" when it first appeared in my Discover Weekly. Essentially it's a song and genre that I dislike, but shares a name with a rock band that I do like (Rush). One of the drawbacks with the like and dislike system on playlists (when it's actually available) is that I am wary of disliking the artist in case the system thinks I dislike the band of the same name that I do like, if you see what I mean.  Anyway, in the last couple of months I've had four bands/ artists from genres that I really dislike crop up in Discover Weekly, because they share names of bands that I do like (from very different musical genres). This is annoying enough, but when one of those appears in my Wrapped 2018 list then I feel it necessary to register it as a problem, because I've never once listened to this particular song and, as previously mentioned, actually "disliked" the sing when it first came up in Discover Weekly. Thanks, Steve.

Out of my Top 5 Songs listed in Wrapped, only one of those songs is listed in my Top 100 Songs of 2018 playlist. Songs 1-3 do not even appear at all in my Top 100 Songs Playlist.

The artist listed as my 2nd most listened to artist in 2018 only appears in my Top 100 Songs Playlist one time... in 90th place.

The artist listed as my 5th most listened to artist appears zero times in my Top 100 Songs Playlist.

However, there are two artists with 3 songs each in my Top 100 Songs Playlist and neither artist is listed in my Top 5 most listened to artists. One of those artists who is not listed in my Top 5 has 2 songs in the Top 20 most listened to songs.

The Top 5 artists and songs listed in my 2018 Wrapped seem like they are probably accurate.

The songs in my Top 100 Playlist appear to be very inaccurate.

The Top 100 Playlist for the year used to be my favorite thing about Spotify.
