Issues with the Web player's volume slider

We're receiving reports that the Volume slider/control from the Web Player isn't functioning correctly. For some users, sliding the volume up automatically adjusts the volume lower instead, and vice-versa.

 

Reloading the Web Player page sets the volume to almost 0 or mute as well.

Same here, really annoying issue.

Having a similar issue while using the Spotify web player on my MacBook. In my case, the volume kinda mutes by itself every hour or every few hours. The volume is automatically set to zero every time I open my laptop to play. Along with the volume slider acting funny and not working as it should, as mentioned earlier by other users in this thread. This does not happen when I use my phone; it only happens on my laptop. I have tried changing browsers as well, including trying Safari, Opera, Opera GX (I primarily use chrome).

I've been experiencing the volume randomly sliding down to zero when the PWA (Web Player) is opened on multiple Chromebooks since around the date of this issue appears to have been first reported up until today.  Seems like we're around or beyond a month here.  Is your development team seriously investing effort in a fix?

I'd like to say that I found this yesterday 5/14 (after having the issue for weeks) and it seems that today 5/15 the volume slider is working properly again! 😄

Yup! Same issue! Doesn't slide anymore, clicking it a couple of times does the job though.

@Yordan My original post was not only about the Web Player, but also about the Desktop App, and it was combined into this thread, and has now disappeared. I now cannot even find my original post.

 

This issue IS NOT fixed for me in the Desktop app. Should I just make a new thread? I would like to be able to link to my old post, but as it is missing, I cannot do that.
