My Question or Issue

Hi, this morning after trying to add some songs to my Liked Songs I noticed that they won't sync between the devices.

As suggested in various topics, I uninstalled the Android app and the Mac app, reinstalled them and logged back in, just to find that all my Liked Songs are completely gone!

This is insane. I'm using Spotify since countless years, always with a Premium subscription; I saved countless songs, and I cannot accept that they are simply gone.

I tried to log in to the web player and open my Liked Songs from there, but it's telling me "Oooops, something went wrong while loading your songs."

Also all my saved Artits and Albums are gone.

Please help me find a way to recover them.

Hey again,

Glad to hear everything is working as it should once more, thanks for confirming everyone!

We'll go ahead and close this Ongoing Issue as Fixed in this case.

If you need further help, don't hesitate to reach out in our Help Boards - we'll be happy to lend a hand there.

Have a lovely day 🙂

My Question or Issue

I had >1,000 Liked Songs on my Windows 7 PC and that used to sync with my iPhone correctly.

I decided to upgrade to a fresh install with Windows 10, redownloaded Spotify app, and although my playlists have synced, my Liked Songs tab remains empty.

I have tried logging out and logging back in on both devices, my Liked Songs appear on my phone, but they remain empty on PC.

Also if I try to play songs in my Liked Songs list on my PC via Spotify Connect, nothing happens.

Hey there @aleeraser,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.

Sometimes Spotify users create more than one account for different reasons. In such a case you might have two or more accounts. If you're accidentally logged in to the wrong account, you won't be able to see your saved music.

We suggest you head to this help page. Make sure you check all the troubleshooting steps and especially the ones for finding other accounts.

It's also a good idea to open the web player in a private/incognito window. This step makes sure you avoid issues with your browser's cache. If that doesn't do the trick try again in a different kind of browser.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I did not create any other account, and also I have no problems with my Premium subscription, which is where the help page you linked brings me to.

What happened is that I lost my Liked Songs, and this is the only issue I have. I already tried to log in with a private/incognito web browser, in multiple web browsers and on multiple machines, but nothing changes.

On my Mac:
- I have no Liked Songs;
- I can add a song to the Liked Songs, and it will be added only on this device

On my smartphone:
- I have no Liked Songs;
- I can add a song to the Liked Songs, and it will be added only on this device

On the Windows laptop (which is the only one where I didn't uninstall Spotify):
- I have all my previously Like Songs
- I can add a song to the Liked Songs, and it will be added only on this device

On web browser (including incognito):
- the Like Songs page doesn't even open, and I get the error message I wrote in my main post
- even if I add a song to the Liked Songs, the page won't open

Despite this all, if I create a playlist on one device, it will sync on EVERY device.

I somehow faced the same problem this morning. I uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify on both Mac and Android, and although the playlist have synced, Liked Songs have not.

Just one question: what happens if you navigate to Liked Songs from the web player?

The Web Player also has no Liked Songs for me.
aleeraser
Does it say explicitly that you have no Liked Songs, or do you get some error? Because I get the following message when opening Liked Songs from the web player:
"Oooops, something went wrong while loading your songs."

It says ‘Your liked songs will appear here. Go to Browse’

I am facing the exact same problem. At first I thought it was the app, I reinstalled and my liked songs still won't load. I tried the web player, the Mac app, nothing. I don't know what to do.

The same thing happened to me. I've done a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on my PC, and cleared cookies/cache on browser, used incognito... to no avail.

On browser, when trying to navigate to my library, I also get the message: "Oooops, something went wrong while loading your songs."

Whereas my smartphone (Android) still appears to have my liked songs-- which is also the only device on which I have not completed a reinstall on.

To my knowledge, as a pretty frequent user of Spotify, this started just today/yesterday.

Similar to OP, I've also been a premium user of Spotify and would really like to see this issue resolved. Thanks for any help that could be provided!
