Liked Songs not syncing across devices

Hey folks!

 

We are receiving reports that some of you are experiencing persistent issues with your Liked Songs not syncing across all platforms. This includes iOS, Android, desktop app, and the Web Player. 

Hey again folks,

 

Great news! This is not only fixed on desktop, web and iOS, but on Android as well. Make sure to update Spotify to the newest version if you've not already done so.

 

Any songs you might have saved during this period could have been improperly cached, so we'd recommend removing them and adding them again to force a resync.

Hey, little thing I've tried. Using Mobile app on Android, and then the native .exe app on Win10 (not microsoft store version)

After losing a lot of hope of my devices being synced, i tried one last thing. in the windows app drawer thing (little arrow in the bottom-right next to clock/date and such) find the spotify app>right click>Troubleshooting>Reset app data and restart. it will log you out, and take a little bit to wake back up, but it worked for me. full sync between Android app, Web player (Chrome) and the native desktop app on Win10. Hopefully this works for you!

To anyone finding this thread in the future, this is how to fix this dumb issue that is somehow not fixed by signing out and signing back in.

 

After these steps your Spotify is set to the state you have in the Web App.

 

  1. Close Spotify on your PC.
  2. Open your File Explorer and go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Users
    (assuming you installed Spotify on the default location)
    You can copy past that path in your File Explorer or find it manually
  3. In this location you'll see a folder named "XXXXXXXXXX-user"
    (10 digits-user). Delete that folder
  4. Start Spotify, the folder should be generated automatically again.

If this didn't solve your issue, repeat the steps but sign out of Spotify first.

My iphone has songs I liked that don't appear on other devices and my computer, web, and android all show differently. How do I fix this mess?

Im having this issue and have had it for a few weeks now. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, signed out, everything, MULTIPLE times and its still not syncing no matter what I do.

I have a Premium Plan and Use spotify on multiple devices, On my Iphone 17 it shows I have one more liked song than on my computer, while showing the same songs across devices

I noticed there has been an update to this thread saying this has been fixed - however I am seeing a different like count across my web player/pc version of spotify and my mobile version of of 17 Jan 2026. 

 

Liked songs on my mobile is showing 3,321 songs and the web player/pc app version is showing 3,336. 

Please let me know if I can provide any further information. I've tried the trouble shooting steps mentioned by other users in this thread but nothing has fixed it.

 

I've logged out, removed downloads, emptied cache, reset app data, deleted the roaming folder file listed in one of the top answers, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the apps on both of my devices with no change.

Yeah this is nowhere near fixed. Just started having this issue a month ago, the past songs that transferred were on December 16th.

 

How this is an issue at all, and isnt resolved immediately is baffling. Genuinely what are we paying you for?

This being marked as "Solved" when I actively have this same problem is so sad and funny. There isn't a solution provided... just "fixed".

 

Every other month this breaks. No amount of reloading fixes it and I have to go and log out of everywhere apart from the place I have the latest song in Liked songs and login again.

Can't believe this is so happening so often and there isn't even a simple reload button to force a resync when this breaks. Amateur hour.
