Lyrics Sharing Not Working

We’re receiving reports that the Lyrics Sharing feature is not working. Before you keep on reading, note that this issue is different than not seeing Lyrics at all.

Great news, we've received word that this should now be fixed and wanted to check how it's looking on your end.

If you still can't see the Share option, please make sure that you're running the latest Spotify version. You might also need to restart your device.

Note that this fix might take a couple of days to reach everyone.

I can't Share Lyrics. I do see lyrics on the smartphone, but there's no share button on them. Already tried cleaning cache and a full clean reinstall, still not seing the lyrics share button.

I have a spotify family plan and other people on the same plan have it, but I don't.

@soobmzh Hey, you don't have the same issue. This is about lyrics sharing (sharing button underneath the lyrics in the mobile app), not about not seeing any lyrics at all.

Hey @Mario, another important info.

I just realized the problem is specifically with the account, not the device or app version.

I asked a friend of mine who has the share feature in his account/device to log into my account in his device, and surprise! The share button still didn't appear in his phone with my account. Then he logged into his own account again and it appeared back. 

Then I tried creating a new account in my own device (same one I used my old account), and then the share button appeared normally.

Just thought about telling this to anyone that thought the problem could be their phone or app version.

In that case, a (bad) workaround would be to just create a new account, and if you have a family plan, add the new account as a member until the premium expires. The bad part is you're gonna lose all your playlists, history and general data from the old account

Also, I noticed on the site that my old account ID was all numeric while the newer accounts have an alphanumeric ID. Not sure if this is relevant, but as a developer myself, everything may be of help in those cases

hii, same issue. i still cannot see the lyrics on my phone. ive tried logging out of my account, deleting then re-downloading the app, even turning off my phone and re-downloading the app afterwards but still nothing.

Can see the lyrics but cant share the lyrics on other social media platforms
