[Mobile] Canvas feature disappeared

My Question or Issue

The canvas disappeared and I want to activate them, try another account and if this is working, but in my account it does not appear, I already uninstalled the application and erased the data and even reset my device And the canvas does not work, all the solutions in other forums does not work, i need a real solution, and quickly

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed - just make sure your app is updated to the latest version. If you're not seeing Canvas in Settings, perform a clean reinstall of the app on your phone.

 

In order to enable Canvas:

- Make sure Data Saver is OFF
- Under Playback, Canvas should be ON

 

Note: Not all songs have a Canvas, and the feature is gradually being rolled out, so it's not available in all markets yet. We'll post an update here when we have any new info to share on this.

I would like to request the Canvas feature to be available again for all accounts which the device, OS and app meet the technical requirements for the feature to be working properly.

 

I have one account that suddenly had the Canvas option removed from the app. But when I created a new account, using the same device, same android verion and same app version (without unistalling and installing the app), the Canvas feature was available.

 

When I log back to my old account, Canvas is not available. But when I log to the new account, Canvas is available (and perfectly working).

 

That said, I see no reason for removing the canvas feature from one account and keep it available for other account that match the same hardware and softare requirements, so I would like to request that, if hardware and software requirements are met to the Canvas feature to be working fine, the Canvas feature shoud turn available for all accounts.

 

Plus, if Canvas works for one account and is unavailable for other account, in same device, OS and app, It means Spotify removed the feature from the account, and there is no technical related issue that would prevent the feature to work, so, It would be nice if we had a way to enable back the Canvas feature for the account which Spotify removed the feature from.

its been about 1 year since my canvas feature disappeared

the developers told me that they limited some features to some users and that user is me.

Please tell me when i can get canvass feature back? im a subscribed (premium individual) but why you limited my features ? this is weird

I don't know why but since this friday all canvas are gone on my spotify account. Even the setting canvas so I really can't put canvas back. I'm in Belgium so this feature should work here I'm really confuse

Spotify canvas disappeared on my account almost two years ago and every time I ask Spotify they say they are working on it. At this point I don't believe for a second they're even trying to fix the issue.

My canvas disappeared a year ago on my premium account. 

This is a serious problem for me as:

  1. I'm paying for premium.
  2. actually create canvases for artists, and it's really frustrating to not be able to see them, or view others.

I'm astounded that this issue is still not resolved, and the support offered on this consists of:

  • "Log in and out a few times" - Tried that several times, no luck
  • "Make sure the app is updated" - 😑 .... It is, and also, no luck
  • "Maybe it's not available in your region" - Well, I had it working since shortly after it launched, so I am confident it is
  • "Create a new account" - Funny, when I tried creating a new, free account, the option is there, but if I switch back to my paid account, the option disappears, so that's not much help.
  • "We might be A/B testing" - For a year?? And this problem seems to go back to 2020!!

I'm really disappointed there seems to be zero movement on this issue.

@honuszz I've been experiencing the exact same problem. Just talked to an agent and they couldn't resolve the issue. I have a premium student account and a free account. I know about a year ago I had the canvas feature on my premium account, and then a few months ago it just disappeared. It's still there on my free account (which is newer than my premium account) but what I don't understand is that if I've had it on my older account before, why is it gone now? At the end of the day it's not a huge deal, but I LOVED the canvas feature, and not having it on my main account sucks. I see that I'm not the only one with this problem, but man... If canvas has been out since 2019 and they still haven't fixed this issue, not sure if they will anytime soon.

Why can't I find the Canvas option in the Spotify app?
