My Question or Issue
I can’t play anything on my phone and I also can’t download my songs. This happened after I updated the spotify app on the app store. Is there a fix?

I've recently came across an issue when I was doing my routinely checking of my weekly Playlist and when I turned off offline mode and tried to play a song from the Playlist it wouldn't play and when I tried using shuffle it just kept on skipping endlessly.
So I quickly contacted my cousin and he said he was having the same problem. Although he wasn't using the app at the time I encountered this problem. He then logged out my account on his device, but the problem was still there.
I tried logging out everywhere but the problem still persisted. I only gave access to my account to 2 people my mom, and my cousin, whom I both trust.
I also noticed that this problem only worked on non downloaded songs because when I tried playing songs from my "liked" Playlist on shuffle it would stop skipping when it reached a song that I downloaded.
My Spotify on my iPhone keeps on skipping music. However, downloaded music is fine. But I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, now I can't even download the music.I tried playing Spotify on my laptop and it works fine. But when I play my spotify on my phone as well as laptop, my laptop keeps on skipping unless I close the spotify app on my phone. I tried restarting my phone several times, each one reinstalling the app, but to no avail. Please do help me.

This is also happening to me. I recently upgraded from Huawei P10 to P30. Unfortunately, the Spotify app doesn't stream and download songs. I have a Premium account and I have tried all the quick fixes such as clean install, re-install, log out log in, clear cache and data, and more but none of them work.
Oddly enough, I can still stream songs using my P30 via Google Chromecast and plah songs on my TV but it simply won't stream and download songs if I chose my P30 as the main device to listenor play songs.
Additionally, everything works well using my P10 that's running on Android 9 - EMUI 9.1.0.
I hope this gets fixed.

Hi, I am also encountering the same problems. My spotify would not play any music, instead, it keeps skipping through songs. Downloading also does not work even with a premium account. I tried installing, re-installing the app, logging out and logging in but, nothing seems to work.
I hope there will be a fix regarding these problems.

I have the same issue, when I try to play a song it won't play and just skips. It played songs that are already saved to cache but when I reinstalled and cleared data, it just won't play anything anymore. Plays for a couple of secs then stops. Also the album art seems to just keep on loading. Please help.
Same here. Updated app last night. noticed the issue earlier today - can still play songs in my recent playlists (probably still cached) but cannot play those I havent played before. Tried the logout in all devices then login, still cant play. Also reinstalled and soft restarted phone, Now i cannot play any songs at all.

I also can’t play any songs it just kept on skipping at everything and I also can’t download my playlists in Spotify, but in other apps, my phone works and is completely fine. It also happened after I updated the spotify app on the app store. Please fix this ASAP. Thank you very much
