[Mobile] Recently Played not updating

We're receiving reports from users that Recently Played is not updating. This might also include Recently Played Artists.

We're setting this issue to Not Right Now as we're unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix at this moment. Still, rest assured this will remain on our internal teams' radar and we'll check back in here with a new status when we have any new information to share.

 

In the meantime, make sure to always keep the app up to date.

Thank you for looking into this issue; I’m currently experiencing it as well, and here is my relevant information:

 

  • 2017 Macbook Pro + macOS Big Sur 11.4
    • Spotify version 1.1.63.568.gda8cb5ac-a
  • iPhone 8 + iOS 14.6
    • Spotify version 8.6.42.835
  • Private Session has been off, yet Recently Played Artists on my profile haven’t updated since Friday night
  • I’ve tried restarting and reinstalling the app on both of my devices, which didn’t resolve this issue for me

I’m having the same issue. Recently played artists and Recently played songs are not updating. I’ve tried on my phone and laptop and neither working. I’ve cleared cache, refreshed page, logged out then back in, and uninstalled app then re installed it. Still not updating. Please fix this problem.

Adding to my previous comment. I’m listening from USA. iPhone 11. App version 8.6.42 and private session is off. I hope this issue can be resolved swiftly!

Same problem for the last 2 days on all devised used:

  • Clean reinstall following Spotify instructions.  No joy.

recently played hasn't been updating for several hours, i've checked on spotify stats and it hasn't updated there either. please please help, i listened to over four hours of songs and none of it was logged. i deleted and reinstalled the app, and tried restarting my phone but it still hasn't worked. using different playlists doesn't work either.

I have been facing this issue since yesterday too. It has been more than 24 hours but it's still the same.

 

I have tried clearing the app data and also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Doing this created more problems. I cannot download songs and playlists. Artist profiles and albums aren't opening. Everything in my library has disappeared, even my own created playlists. I cannot like songs and all my previously liked songs are appearing as not liked. I have tried switching networks but there's no change. The Recently Played has stopped working too as aforementioned. 

 

It has become such a hassle navigating through this app. I cannot even listen to music properly. Please help.

I'm on A PC I pay premium. My recently played list has not been updating since yesterday, 7/11/2021

Same issue here. I think the issue is server side because it happens on every device.

 

For me the Recently Played Artists section is not updating on my profile and the Recently Played history in the mobile app is not updating.

Yep, doesn't work neither on mobile nor on PC. I'm Premium and up-to-date

Issue: recently played artists are not updating since the last 20 hours. I've reinstalled and updated the app and removed the accesses from it.
