Most sections missing on Artist Page

Since a couple of days I can open Artist Pages only occasionally. Most of the time I get the  "Something went wrong" error message, otherwise the screen stays black or shows the little "loading spinner" for 30+ seconds. This happens regardless from where I try toopen the artist page - from the search, a playlist, an album. 

When I finally was able to reach an Artist Page it's the same issue with the "About" section. 

 

I already made two clean installs / Tried another account (also Premium) / Restarted my router several times / restarted my computer several times / cleared the cache in between - nothing has changed. The issue persists. 

 

Any tips / suggestions?

Day after day, more and more band pages are getting blocked with the message "something went wrong" and never return again. Ironically it also says "try again later" but who knows what "later" means here: 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 1 lifetime?

So what's going on? Why is Spotify blocking so many artist pages? I still have access to the albums if I search by the album name, but I'm losing access to the bands information, which was already very limited. Is it some country restrictions or something like it? Would a VPN solve this?

Hi there @Paulgi,

thanks for reaching out !

As far as the screenshot you've added, this page loads when there's an issue with the internet connection.

In order to compare, when a page gets removed due to an artist request, you'll either won't be able to search for it or it'll be grayed out.

 

Therefore, i would recommend the following:

- Check the same content on a friends Spotify account used in the same country

- Try a different device

- Try several other internet connection/WiFi

 

Note: VPN isn't a recommended internet connection to be used while using Spotify. Make sure to use a solid LAN/WiFi connected device.

There's no problem with the internet connection. Everything else is working perfectly, even games with a great ping. And 100Mbps should be enough to open a basic page as the ones on spotify. The problem is clearly on the service, that has been getting worse day after day. Lots of problems with the playlists display, frequently losing connection with last.fm, pages that never open, even on the ones that open, the about is usually a blank page. It's getting really really bad.

Whenever I view an artist profile and open the albums to look at the songs and play it, once I go back to the profile the artist's album I just viewed has disappeared

Experiencing the same. Cannot see artist pages nor album pages. "Oooops, something went wrong while loading the artist/album". This is on windows 10, version: 1.1.31.703.g.256add22
