Music Played on Computer is Displayed on Phone

Is there anyway to disconnect from phone and computer from being linked under my spotify account?

At work I use Spotify desktop and it constantly displays the music that I'm listening to on my phone. I do not have Spotify open on my phone nor am I opening it when using my phone (as I'm listening on my comp). It drains my phone battery and I have not been able to find a way to turn this off anywhere in the settings. How do I turn this off?

If there is not the ability to disconnect them this should be a top dev item. It's redundant and unnecessary.

With Spotify Connect you can remote control your music from everywhere. Here's more information about Spotify Connect. If you'd like you can turn on Offline Mode on your Android device to keep this from happening. I'll pass on your feedback to the right teams! 🙂

@Hubo Thanks very much for your response however Offline mode doesnt fix the issue and I actually can't even toggle the radio button. What Offline mode does is only allows you to play music you've downloaded to your device, it does not disconnect the two devices which is what I am trying to do.

At this moment, it's not possible to disable Spotify Connect. I understand your frustration and I'll definitely pass this on to the right folks.
