Music stops playing through out the day.

 

 

 

 Windows 7 Personal Computer.   -My issue is as follows.  My music continually stopping while playing, where I have to (x) out  to restart my music. This happens several times a day.  Yes, I have reinstalled several times along with a safemode install, plus an additional 8 other steps your customer service team has sent me.

 This actually happened to me to. Usually I have it on in the background while I do school work but sometimes it'll stop the music suddenly for no reason. I noticed it usually happens for me when an ad ends or sometimes it even quiets down during ads.

Does the following sound like the same problem you're having?

 

"This has been happening for a few days now.  After a few songs (today it was 5 songs), Spotify will not play any more music.  Restarting Spotify does not fix the issue.  Sometimes, rebooting the computer will restart the process (play a few songs then stop), but not always.  Uninstalling and re-installing Spotify does not fix the issue either."

 

That's the initial post I made about my problem - see "Stop Playback After Current Track."  It's currently marked as "Not an Issue" because it was deemed an isolated case, but there are others in the thread who've been having the same problem.

This sounds exactlty like the issue I am having as well.  

 

I am on Windows 8.1, and I have Spotify version 1.0.15.133.

 I am having this same problem. I have to close Spotify and restart. Then at irregular intervals it will stop playing again, at the end of a song or after a commerical. The player just freezes up. I can still go back or navigate to new pages, but it will not allow me to play songs.

Very annoying, but at the end of the day a first-world problem.

this is an issue for me also. a couple of days ago,i could listen to at least 3 songs before everything just stops. now,i only get 1 song then nothing. can not click anything. restart the program,same thing.

Hello Spotify Community.  Thank you all for your comments and feedback.  Here is an update.   I have been working with support@spotify.com  -for 2 weeks.  Still nothing has been resolved.  8 different reps have assisted- with over 12 different solutions, etc.  None of them have worked.  The worst advise I received- was asking me to turn off my Firewall and anti virus. Really?  

I have reinstalled so many times my head is spinning.  I was also getting an error 17 where I had to install in safe-mode.   It's been a nightmare.  The most current feedback was this.  Spotify updated to Windows 10.   When I replied,  "When??"  No response in 2 days.  I guess I/we have to live with this stopping mode.  I surmise in my opinion, that this is a Spotify issue, and they have NO idea how to correct, which I find baffling and hard to believe.

Extremely disappointing to say the least, especially since I really really enjoy Spotify.

Seems like you guys are taking a while to figure this problem out. 

I've got the same problem. It seems it could be with the latest update.
