Music too loud

Hi.  Spotify is WAY too quiet on my computer.  Any song I find from any generic artist is a reasonable volume so I can hear it but it's still very quiet, much quieter than youtube or anything.  But any of my local files are just way too quiet.  I've opened the files in audacity, audition, and windows media player.  They're all loud as **bleep**.  Thats with those programs respectably on like 1-5 volume out of 100, both in the volume slider on my computer AND in program.  EVEN WITH THOSE SETTINGS the audio is louder than spotify, even when spotify is 100% full volume on both my computer's volume slider, and spotify's built in one.  I have tried the solution everybody posts when this question is asked of "moving the volume slider in volume mixer" and obviously that was the first thing i tried.  Didn't do anything.  Spotify just makes things stupidly quiet.

*** FIXED IT:

I went into the sound panel on my headset and changed the audio quality from 48000 DVD quality to 44100 CD quality. FINALLY
