[New desktop app] Notifications not showing up on desktop app

My Question or Issue

I currently have "Show desktop notifications when the song changes" enabled in Settings on my Spotify Windows 10 app (ver 1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60-a). However, when songs change, no notification shows up. Is this a bug or is there something else that needs to be configured?

I also have a display problem for Spotify notifications, however I have "Spotify" in my Notifications preferences, but they do not appear when changed, nor in the notification center

• Operating system : MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with macOS Big Sur 11.2.3

Hi Spotify,

I've seen multiple different replies from Spotify employees "trying to help", but no one has actually tried to help yet. You have all said the same thing and this should be a simple fix! Get your stuff together and help us out, please, we pay you for this.

@Elena  Please help prioritize the issue. This is a basic feature for a music player. About all of the information you're asking for, somebody in Spotify can try it out on their own. This is consistently reproduced.

Also experiencing this issue. 

• Device and OS: macOS Catalina, version 10.15.7, MacBook Air Retina
• Spotify version: 1.1.60.668.gff09d345-a
• Spotify does not show up in Settings > Notifications. Do Not Disturb is not on. Pop up notifications work for other apps. 
• Have tried a clean install of the app, which did not resolve the issue.

It is pathetic that this has been an issue since 2012 and still it's not fixed.

Spotify not in Notification Center of the Mac.

Mac OS Big Sur : 11.4

Made clean install (delete all folders, etc...) Same problem.

• Mac Mini M1 2020. Mac OS Big Sur 11.4 (Latest version)
• Spotify version: 1.1.60.672.g6ad9c215-a
• Checked. Spotify's relevant notifications are allowed on from the device's Settings and Don't Disturb is turned off.
  
  Just like others, I don't receive any notifications. When song changes (or when I change it manually through keyboard arrow keys). I also don't receive any other notifications for example when Release Radar updates, announcements, etc.
  
  Just like others, Spotify app doesn't exist in Notification Center of the Mac

   

  I've tried clean installing the app as instructed here.
  
• I also have the same exact issue on iPhone 11 with iOS 14.6 version (Spotify version 8.6.30). No notifications from Spotify there as well.
  
  I bought Mac Mini M1 recently (it's brand new) and installed fresh Spotify on it. Notifications never worked on it.
  
  Also tried on my relative new MacBook Air M1 - same exact issue.

I've been using an app called Tunes Notifier (https://apps.apple.com/app/tunes-notifier/id555731861) for years to get the song change notifications. Hopefully Spotify will fix their bug and this won't be necessary anymore.

I have the same problem, notifications aren't appearing no matter what I do. I use MacOS Big Sur 11.4. on MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020. Spotify version is 1.1.61.583.gad060c66-a (latest update at the moment of this post).
