No sound on Sony SRS-ZR5 in google cast group

Status: Fixed

I recently added a Sony SRS-ZR5 to my network. I'm able to cast music directly to it (using both Google Cast and Spotify Connect). However, I am unable to play music from it as part of a group. Music plays from the other speakers, but not the Sony. The group has a Google Home and a Chromecast Audio device (it doesn't work no matter what combination I use to form a group). 

 

Every other casting app I have (TuneIn, Pandora, Pocket Casts, Google Play Music) is able to cast to all speakers in the group without an issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app, which had no effect.

Can you let us know which mobile device and Spotify version you're currently using? Also, can you make sure that you have the latest firmware update on your Google devices?

Thanks for your response. I was able to get the speaker going by starting the group through a Google Home command. I am now able to cast normally through the spotify app.
