That's odd. Can you let us know what device, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using? A screenshot of the warning you get might be helpful.
We recommend reinstalling the app following the steps here to see if it helps.
I don't know the version because it has updated since the post but I am on windows 10 fully updated with bitdefender free. I will attach the error I received from bitdefender.
The ads were on the windows spotify app not a browser. They never opened in a browser. And I didn't think to take a screenshot of the app interface at the time so that's not possible. I opened the app got 2 phishing warnings that I sent a screenshot of to you. Since then it hasn't happened again so I apologize can't really offer any more info than that.
