Pioneer car stereo & iPhone

Hi,

 

yesterday i I could use Spotify on my pioneer car stereo with no issues... this morning I can’t skip songs nor does it say what track it is on my stereo display. 

 

Its driving me mad! 

 

Also same problem where I have no lock screen controls... I updated to ios11 when it first came out and no issues. It’s only happened over night and I didn’t do the upgrade to the new update until after this issue this morning.

Can you let us know when did this start happening? Was it after a specific update or event? Also, let us  know the operating system and Spotify version you're running,

Hi,

 

on Wednesday it was working fine, then Thursday morning when I turned my radio on.... it had stopped working. I noticed that Apple had released a new update and so I thought that might make it work again but it didn’t sort it out. 

 

I am using iOS 11.0.2

 

spotify version; 8.4.20.535

 

 

Please help lol. It’s driving me crazy!

Thanks for letting us know.

 

In this case, can you try reinstalling Spotify on your iPhone with these steps? Also, make sure that the firmware of your Pioneer device is up to date.

 

We'd also like you to try to connect the radio with a different device with Spotify if possible.

I reinstalled the app with no joy, my brother has connected his and it shows the track title and can skip. He’s not installed ios11 though.

That's strange!

 

We'd recommend restarting your device by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds. Does that help? Also, could you log in from your brother's phone and let us know if you have the same issue with the lock screen controls and with the Pioneer.
