Playback issues: Songs going silent on Android app

We've received reports from Android users that the progress bar of a song keeps moving but there's no sound coming out. When the app is restarted, the progress bar goes back to the point where the song went silent.

 

Some users noticed that the issue doesn't occur when the features below are toggled off:

  • Gapless playback - found in Settings > Playback
  • Equalizer - found in Settings > Audio Quality

Hey everyone,

 

In case you're experiencing this issue, make sure to give it a like and provide the following info:

 

  • The day, time and time zone this has occurred on
  • Your device's OS version
  • The version of Spotify you're running
  • Does the app switch to the next song or is it stuck on the current one (with the timer still counting)?
  • Whether this occurs when playing from the mobile device directly or when connected to another device (Bluetooth, headphones, etc.)

If possible, feel free to include a video showing how things look from your end.

Spotify me fait quelque chose qui ne m'avait jamais fait avant depuis 4 ans d'utilisation 

Lorsque j'avance ou recule dans un morceau, il me coupe le son. Le téléphone ne me fait plus parvenir le son. Pourtant le son n'est pas zéro ni sur Spotify ni sur mon téléphone.

Tant que je n'ai pas appuyé sur le bouton du volume du téléphone ,le son ne revient pas !

Et dès que j'appuie sur un seul des boutons plus ou moins le son du morceau Spotify réapparaît instantanément.

Cela se fait parfois aussi quand je clique la.fleche  "passer au morceau de musique suivant"

 

Je n'ai rien trouvé dans les paramètres pour solutionner cela. 

 

J'anticipe vos conseils : oui j'ai tous désinstallé l'application et réinstallé.

Ma copine partage le même compte avec moi en offre couple et elle n'a pas ce problème.

 

Je n'ai pas ce problème depuis mon ordinateur non plus. 

 

Je ne vois pas qu'est-ce qui justifierait cela dans le téléphone non plus.

This is occurring on iOS as well. Deleted app, reinstalled, disconnected all devices, still happens. Basically, I use Spotify connect with a Marantz reciever and within the first 3-4 songs it will mute the music. If you hit volume up, it will work again. Sometimes the song will move to the next song as well. When it does that, my phone is on the old song and my Marantz is playing the next song. Happens ALL the time.

I've experienced this issue with S21 plus 

but it was due to having an out of date client.

This was the 1st song that was automatically selected after the playback of an album was complete.

 

Symptom: the song starts, the time bar progresses but there is no sound.
Press pause => time bar goes to 0
Press play => time bar starts, no sound, app is not sure whether to display 7 or 8 seconds (displays 7 - 8 - 7 - 8 - 9 - ...)
Press pause => time bar goes to 0
Press play => still no sound
Drag time bar to 0 => starts to play WITH sound

 

This is the 2nd phone I'm having this issue with!

Are you paired with any other device(s) ? I've had spot connect with a device that was not intended. TV, BT Headphones,Speakers,etc

My Question or Issue

Seeking inside the app doesn't work at random times; I have to press/slide twice to get the audio to change, however seek bar shows that it's playing in another part of the song while audio doesn't change until the second time I seek. Happened with me for a few years back when I was using a Pixel 4a, now on Galaxy S23, used a Pixel 7pro in between as well and the issue happened on all of them.

Whenever I open Spotify music was playing but no sound will be coming out I will uninstall and install the app but use please solve as alrey as possible

No my issue is different, audio does play but seeking does not work until I do it twice. Sound always come out and the song is playing, it's just that seeking doesn't work...

My spotify doesnt play out sound even when it says a song is playing. I tried restarting and reinstalling and it still doesnt sound out.

what is happening, when will you fix this issue? Hey man, it has been more than a month and this problem has not been fixed yet.

If this situation continues, I will have to leave this platform forever.

Any song is being played, there is no sound at all, the progress bar is just moving forward, there is no sound at all.
