Playback stops on mobile devices. Progress bar stays at 0:00.

We're getting reports from both Android and iOS users about the app stopping audio playback. This usually occurs after successfully playing 1-3 tracks without issues.

 

We wanted to let you know that this is being investigated and we'll keep you posted on how it goes in this thread!

I'm able to listen after I either restart my phone or reinstall the app. However, if I close the app and open it again then nothing will play which means I must again restart my phone or reinstall the app. If I try a different track, an add will play but nothing else.

When I try to play one of my playlists it will play fine for awhile & then just all of a sudden stop the song altogether in the middle of a song & then when I try to hit the play button again it takes awhile before it will start again & then it will start with the song that it has just stopped but it will start it over from the beginning again & then again somewhere in the middle just stop again & continue this circle of a pattern never being able to play that song all the way thru & sometimes I will try a song over & over & over again until I give up on being able to listen to that song & just decide to try skipping thru to another song & then sometimes it will play a few more before deciding to randomly do it again, it gets very frustrating just trying to be able to listen to some music while I am at working, & I pay good money every month as a premium family account & this is an issues that has now been going on for a few months now at least.

This is still happening. I have reinstalled the app, logged out of all other devices, and changed password.

I am not able to play un-downloaded songs when i'm online but instead the downloaded songs are playing perfectly. The songs don't play and stay at 0:00 only even when I'm online.

This problem has come up in my laptop and my phone as well starting today.

EDIT

I tried to reinstall the app now i can't even access any playlist and now i can't play any of the songs. It is just showing three dots.

This is really Irritating!

Problem Solved- i switched off the device for some time and then switched on it. It is working like before 👍🏻

Still the the same on HarmonyOS, after 5‘‘ the sound stops without to be paused.

I have this happening in Apple Watch.  So very frustrating to have to continually “push” it to the next song during a run.  It just sits at 00:00.

first time on this website, every time I play a song on Spotify it stops playing after the song then there’s nothing that plays at all even after going to a different playlist it still happens and this has been going on for the past week. I just want to listen to music while taking the dogs out.
