My Question or Issue

If I'm listening to, say song #237 in a playlist, when the song is over it always jumps back to the first song in said playlist. This happens with any song # I choose.

How can this be solved?

Edit: I say playlist, but I mean the list of "Liked songs"

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

I’ve been trying to get through my entire “Liked Songs” list and I’m somewhere in the middle now, but today when I would select the song I stopped at, it wouldn’t keep playing in order (sequentially), Spotify would go all the back to my most recent liked song. No matter where and how selected/changed the shuffle or not, the song after the one I selected would be my most recent liked song.

Mine too!! It only started like 2 ish days ago for me, and nothing I do will fix it. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app and nothing works. It’s so frustrating!!

Hey there @NielsJacobs

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.

As a first step we'd suggest running a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device. We recommend this step as it'll remove the old drivers first and then install the new ones. This tends to solve issues with the app's performance.

Give your device a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed app.

If that doesn't do the trick, let us know and we'll assist further.

We'll look out for your reply.

Hey @NielsJacobs,

Just jumping in to add something to @Ivan's reply.

Since we've now started looking into this and need to collect all the relevant info, it'd be great if - together with the info you already shared - you'd let us know the following exact version of Spotify on your device.

@senriquemx, thanks for reaching out about this here. Would you mind letting us know the following?

  • All the devices you experience this with

  • Exact version of their operating system

  • Exact version of Spotify on each device

We'll look out for your updates and we'll be here to keep taking care of this with you. Don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can help with in the meantime!

while listening in liked songs, instead of going to the next song, it jumps back to the most recent song added to liked songs. (Shuffle is not on)

Hey @riptideforlife, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Could you try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps? If that doesn't help, could you send me a screen recording of what happens after play the first song? Make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community.

Also, could you let me know the iOS version for your iPhone 7? You can check by going to Settings > General > About.

Let me know how this goes!
