(Playlist) "Liked songs" restarts to first song

My Question or Issue

If I'm listening to, say song #237 in a playlist, when the song is over it always jumps back to the first song in said playlist. This happens with any song # I choose.

How can this be solved?

Edit: I say playlist, but I mean the list of "Liked songs"

I get the same issue when I try to listen to my Liked Songs in order. Error only occurs once I am more than maybe 10% of the way down. When I start a song and then check the queue it just shows the start of my Liked Songs.

 

Device: Desktop PC

OS: Windows 10 - 1909 (18363.752)

Spotify Version: 1.1.29.592.gf0779179 (Microsoft Store version)

Plan: Family Premium

I tried the suggested methods to solve this problem and it still exist for me. Though the problem doesn't appear for when I'm playing my other playlists. It only appears when I select a song from my liked songs playlist and add a song to its queue.

 

Below are the instances when the problem has surfaced:
  1. When I add a song to the queue, once the said song plays the following song after that would go back to the start.

  2. Another is when I like/unlike a song that was originally saved to my liked playlist (regardless if it was the song currently playing or not). The next song would go back to the song that is at the start of the liked playlist.

  3. When I add a song (regardless if it was the song currently playing or not) to a different playlist.

 

 

Some details:
Device: Samsung
OS version: Android 10
Spotify Version: 8.5.51.941

 

Additional Details:

I have around 3k+ songs on my liked songs, while less than 500 songs on the other playlists of mine.


Possible solution:

@thesimster03 suggested below to reinstall the app. Making sure that cache and other files related to spotify have been deleted before reinstalling. It seem to have worked for the version I have on my phone.

I'm experiencing the same problem

Ive tried reinstallation of the application but it didn't resolve the issue 

I'm currently using an updated version of the app (Spotify version 8.5.51.941)

Same problem here... I can't use Spotify anymore as it constantly start at the beginning of my Liked songs playlist.

The same things happened to me and I was did everything they sad on my device including smartphones and pc but still not solved,fix this pls!

My Question or Issue

I am having a similar issue where if I shuffle my "Liked Songs" playlist, then turn shuffle off, the next song will go back to the first song in the list instead of keeping the position. Does not seem to occur in my other playlists.

I have already updated/reinstalled the app, logged out and back in, my device is up-to-date.

Mine is still not fixed and my device and everything is aslo updated, so
I'm unsure what to do. If I get a solution I'll try and send it to you.
