Playlists not showing on Roku

Hey there folks,

You should be now able to view and search for playlists from Spotify directly on your Roku device.

If you're still having troubles, we'd suggest trying these steps first. If the issue persists, we'd recommend posting about this in the related Help Board. We'll be happy to lend a hand there!

Have a lovely day 🙂

@OKmamaJI called them about that yesterday. That app is just for music you own, that is uploaded into your cloud library. It's not for the streaming music service. But put a call into Amazon and ask for it, the more suggestions they get, the more likely they will get on board and make a streaming music app for this service.

Either way, since Spotify does not work correctly on Roku or my smart TV I dumped them today and switched to Amazon unlimited music for $7.99 a month. Basically same capabilities right now, and hopefully a streaming app from amazon is on the way. (By the way, if you have the fire stick instead of Roku, you can already stream from this service...)

@OKmamaJI used the app Stamp and transferred all playlists no problem. You can use it free and transfer 1 playlist of just 10 songs at a time, or pay a one time small fee (I think it was $9.99) and transfer EVERYTHING between platforms, not just Spotify and Amazon... they cover all the major streaming services (Apple, Google play, etc.). Piece of cake!

None of my playlist will load on my Roku player. Tried logging in and out. It only shows my starred playlist (which is empty). Please fix. Also my inbox just says loading for forever. DOES NOT WORK.

Hey @jasso01, welcome to the Spotify Community!

Could you let us know the make and model of your TV? A screenshot of how you can see your playlists would be helpful.

Does logging out and back in to your account help?

We'd like to investigate a bit more 🙂

I just bought a ROKU Premiere. I logged in and my playlists loaded fine, but after a couple of days, they stopped loading. I have logged out and back in, and did a factory restart, but nothing. It does the same thing with my wife's account. I can search music, and play what I find, but it just isn't loading playlists. Also, the songs in "What's New" and "Top Tracks", show and play just fine.

Hey everybody!

Thanks for letting us know about this. We'd like to gather as much info as possible regarding this problem. If you could send a screenshot or photo of what you see both in the app and the Roku app, would be great.

Also, let us know your device, operating system and Spotify version. If you noticed this started to happen recently, let us know the approximate date.

Keep us posted.

Okay, I can't insert this as a video but here's a link to the video. I have the TCL Roku TV, Spotify app is whatever version is newest since I just uninstalled and reinstalled AGAIN yesterday.

I'm not 100% sure when the problem started happening... It's been at least 2 weeks.

The video OKmamaJ provided is exactly the problem I am having on all three of my Roku 3's and also on my Roku stick.
