Playlists take forever to load after start up

Hello there~

Besides some other issues user seem to have with playlists I've got a particular (annoying) problem for over a month now:

Everytime I start up Spotify and immediately want to add a song to a playlist, I've got to wait a reeaally long time until all my playlists show up in the dropdown menu. They are visible in the sidebar on the left, but I'm not able to drag a song into the playlist (that dind't show up yet in the dropdown) either.

Spotify somehow has to load the playlists for the desktop client (whereas they're all immediately available when I open Spotify on my iPhone) and I can literally see them being added to the dropdown menu over time. This takes about half an hour though until all my playlists are available.

To my knowledge there shouldn't be a limit for playlists (except the 10'000 tracks per list and the 3'333 tracks to sync for offline use -rules). And the fact that it works on my phone tells me that it must be a bug.

Reinstalling the app didn't help btw. – anyone else having this issue?

Is there something in the pipeline to solve this?

Hey @moodwood, welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear about what's going on with your playlists. Is this happening over a wired or wireless connection? Does using a different network make a difference?

Also, about how many playlists do you have on your account? Do you have the same issue if you log into a different computer?

We'll see what we can suggest once we have this info.
