Podcast episodes in Queue not playing automatically

Hey everyone,

We're receiving reports about podcast episodes not playing automatically one after the other in Your Episodes, playlists, Queue and the show itself. If there are 2 episodes queued one after the other, the second one gets skipped. If there are podcast episodes queued when playing songs, the podcast episodes are getting skipped. Some users report that when there's a podcast episode in the queue it will get skipped and will break the queue.

Yep, this has just started happening to me in the last couple weeks.

I've since left Spotify for my daily podcast listening. Google podcasts
works. It's amazing, whatever I put in my queue stays there until it's
listened to or I remove it. Mind blowing.

This is happening on my android app. And the strange thing is only for BBC (world service, BBC 4/5 etc) podcasts only. It is very frustrating to complain to Spotify. They don't have a customer care number or email ID. When contacted via the chat service they ask you to log out/log in & uninstall/reinstall the app. SMH.

I'm thinking of switching to other and separate apps for podcasts and music.

Spotify, please, provide the option to play ONLY ONE podcast episode..

I don't want to listen the whole night .

Just want to click on button play for specific episode and that's it.
