Agreed, the seamlessness between devices that Spotify generally has is tainted when one platform has features that another doesn't.

No explanation? No problem. Spotify loses money. How? People jump ship. Not fully, but partially. I paid for what what was recommended to me with high praise a podcast app called Pocketcasts. Once for mobile, another for the desktop version. It was worth it to me as it has a great jump forward/back button allowing you to skip ads. I suggest we vote with our wallets and our platform choice. Don't support Spotify podcasts until they give us what we all want: mobile+desktop unity.
