Premium users hearing ads

We've received reports that active Premium users are hearing ads interrupting their listening experience.

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

This should now be fixed. If you're still having issues, remember to log out of the app and back in again 2-3 times in a row in order to force a resync.

I've seen comments from 28 days ago, but this started to happen here in Brazil today (06/03/2025). Please fix this issue so that cancelling the subscription will not be necessary.

Premium isn't necessary if we already have the same service as the free one.

Ads started playing today but I’m part of my family premium plan so shouldn’t have them

I started receiving ads during musics today, while listening in a Google Nest device, it also happened in my android app. I also cannot select a music and it seems like it is playing random playlists/musics

I am on premium duo for many years now. I am hearing ads now on playlists. Not one but multiple ads one after another. Careful spotify...I am listening on my android app

I am a long-time Spotify customer and currently subscribe to the "Premium Family" plan at $19.99 per month ($21.76 with tax).

 

Today is March 6, 2025. This issue was acknowledged by Spotify 4 weeks ago, on 2025-02-07 at 11:06 AM, and yet I am currently receiving ads in my music (not podcast) stream, even with my Premium plan.

 

Spotify clearly is not taking this issue seriously, nor are they incentivized to do anything other than maintain the status quo. Over time, the Spotify Premium subscription price has only skyrocketed, while popular music on the platform continues to disappear.

 

I have many other music streaming options, many of them superior to Spotify in terms of cost and availability of music.

 

This is official notice that I will cancel my Premium Family plan one week hence unless Spotify ceases serving ads to my Premium music stream, and I encourage others to do the same.

Got ads today. I see this issue affects many people already 28 days. I am extremely disappointed in quality of the service and bug fixing time. That’s a major problem in production but looks like no one cares 🤬

I was logged out of my spotify account in the car and now I can't login again. It seems to be an serious issue because the car says I do not have a premium account even though I have a family account.

Have the same problem. I tried to clear cache and else. Re log. I'm listening from Spotify in a Chrome browser. It's not acceptable !!
