Problems with playlists

I have a lot of playlists on iTunes on my main iMac which I want to play on both my iPad and iPhone.

The main iMac has added all my iTunes playlists and is playing them with no problem. For instance, a playlist called Dan’s songs has 175 songs and is playing all of them with no problems.

The iPad ‘sees’ the ‘Dan’s songs’ playlist and will play about 80% of the songs, some ‘greyed out’ and giving the message ‘song not downloaded’. I assume this is because of copyright.

The iPhone is acting in a different way. When I go to the Dan’s songs playlist, it tells me there are 175 songs, but when I click on the list it asks ‘want to add songs to this playlist – and a button for Browse and under that Recommended Songs. Which when I press it, it lists random songs not on the original playlist.

Hey @Cappo!

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Just to confirm, is this happening to songs you have saved as local files on your Mac? If that's the case, you can follow these steps to sync your local files to your mobile devices.

Keep us on the loop.
