Progress Bar Freeze

Status: Closed

The progress bar on songs freezes at 0:00 yet plays normally. After unlocking the phone and turning off again the progress updates and freezes where it was when the phone was turned off.

Hey @sho_scott, welcome to the Community! 

 

What device, operating system, and Spotify version are you using? Does resetting the app make a difference? Lastly, how long has this been going on for? Did it start after an app update?

I have an iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 11 and the most recent Spotify update, I
have been having this issue for the past month or so. Regarding restarting
the app, the problem is fixed once I unlock the phone but is a bit tedious.
I am not sure if it started after an app update because I have auto-update
on but I assume it was related.

Do you have any screenshots you can attach to more clearly explain your issue?

Let us also know the exact Spotify version you're using on your device.

 

I suggest you try a clean reinstall and see if it helps. This usually fixes most problems 🙂
Note: This will remove any saved offline tracks and cache.
