Recently played artists section not updating

We've been seeing reports from users that the recently played artists on their profile are not updating, while recently played in listening history is working as expected.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

I mean the good news is, it updates in a shorter span compared to the last time, the bad, the issue is still present and no one can give us the approx. time when’s it supposed to be fixed

Currently my updates stager between 1 hour to 7 hours… very weird.

bruh, this has not actually been fully fixed since it's started weeks and weeks ago.

 

why are we paying for premium when they're not fixing the issue, not even giving us an actual reason as to why this is even happening in the first place...

and why would an app with not THAT many features doesn't get fixed when it's not functioning as it should??

my recently played artists section also shows me artists i didn't fully listen to, or even listen to at all. not only is it delayed by several hours, but it seems to be hyper-reactive to if i listen to a song for, like, 30 seconds.

Issue seems to have been resolved now… it’s now updating in real time (for both). Not sure how everyone else is getting on. Please let us know.

Yeh the problem seems to have been solved and hope it stays that way.

Don't know why after an update it seems to mess things up, like this is second time it happened.

all good on my end now too. There also been an app update for iOS so check up if you got one just to make sure

yeah... I don't think this is fully fixed

the issue is not fixed at all **bleep**, at least not for me. for me, it got worse if anything. my streaming history/recently played artists section is still bugging badly. some songs/artists appear right away, some - 10-30 mins later, some end up not appearing at all. it all happens completely randomly: streaming history can work just fine for an hour and i start thinking everything's finally fine, but then it suddenly stops working and there's nothing i can do to prevent it. I think i've already lost at least 10 hours of streams. clean reinstalling doesn't help, spotify support won't advise anything useful, escalation team clearly isn't "looking into it". what's worse is that my friends' histories work fine, so it gets me thinking that it's somehow the issue with my and only my account, and spotify support agents neither confirm nor deny it. i'm really starting to wonder what am i even paying for.
