Recently played artists

I just opened Spotify to see that all my recently played artists have gone apart from 2, and 3 others have been added. All of which are artists I strongly dislike and have never listened to. One of these artists is PWR BTTM. I would really like to remove them from my account as I do not want to be associated with a band who have been called out as rapists. Any way I can do this?

Hey! I checked Spotify today and now my recently played artists are artists I have maybe only listened to one or two songs by, and my favorite artists are now missing. 

My Spotify and last.fm are both samarnett. You can clearly see the issue. Did they change the algorithm?

I just played Björk for like...10 minutes and now she is my number 1 recently played artist. I like that this is now more instantaneous, but I think this needs to be adjusted a little bit!

yeah, this is an issue. I like having more than just four artists that I just randomly decided to listen to once. please change it back.

Can you let us know when did this start happening? Was it after a specific update or event? Also, can you try to use another device and let us know if you don't see them?

Hi, the problem only started happening yesterday and I had not updated my phone or the app. If I look on my laptop it just shows the same.

Happened to me too, yesterday after I got home from school (before updating) all my recently played artists were people or bands I have not listened to for months on end, or ever at all. I can't see anyone else's recently played artists either 😞

Hey! This is recent and shows up on all devices I have (Mac laptop and iPhone)! Now, recently played artists refresh whenever you play a singular song from an artist page (and JUST the artist page). Then, immediately after you play the song, the artist appears as the number 1 recently played artist. I first noticed this yesterday about midday! @Erika
