Refresh button for Recommended songs section not working properly

Hey folks,


We're receiving reports about the Refresh button under the Recommended songs section under a playlist not working properly. Sometimes it just shuffles the already listed songs, and sometimes it just doesn't do anything at all. The list is only refreshed after actually adding a song to the playlist. Having this issue as well.  Sometimes the refresh button works only once, and clicking it again does nothing.  


Same here, stopped working a few days ago alltogether. I've tried a clean reinstall and nothing has changed

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 


@AeroZ, we'd recommend that you try logging out and then logging back in twice. We know this sounds odd, but it's how the app forces a cache refresh. Also, we suggest that you try with a different internet connection to check if that makes the difference. 


@jtor99, could you let us know which troubleshooting steps you've already tried? Additionally, we'd like to know if the issue persists on a different device such as a phone. Lastly, would you mind sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device?


We'll be on the lookout for your replies.





It started working today without doing anything but it's kind of half-working. I also tried to log out twice with no difference.
There are two issues:
1. It shows 10 recommended songs. When pressing refresh then it basically just re-orders those 10 recommended songs instead of showing new recommendations with each refresh. Tried this with different playlists but the result is the same.
2. Every second or third click on the refresh button doesn't do anything.

Tried clearing cache. The issue seems to be only on the desktop, working fine on phone.

Also not working for me... on both browser and app version (Windows 10). Was fine up until a few days ago.

Same problem. Reinstall does not fix. Obviously, by the number of complaints, this appears to be a more systemic issue that needs attention. The Refresh feature for Premium users is an important function.

The lack of attention to this issue is baffling. How long do premium users have to wait to hear a response / suggestion / anything from you?
