Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro Offline play is incredibly buggy

I just purchased the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro.

Soley to use the Spotify on runs and leave my phone.

I log into the stream wifi.

Download my playlists.

All the songs on the playlist have the green arrow.

I turn on offline play in the settings.

Below are the issues that are occurring:

- Some songs do not play at all.

- Often when I click on a song it will play a different song.

- Many songs will play the first few seconds and then stop playing.

- I have to constantly delete the downloaded music and redownload the playlist.

- Some songs have the cloud with the "x" on it but still plays offline.

Hey everyone!

As we haven't had any updates about this in a while, we'll be closing the thread.

If you need our help again, don't hesitate to open a new one.

All the best.

Hi @SGT_T, welcome to the Spotify Community!

Could you let us know what operating system and Spotify version you're using? Also, do you remember if this started happening after a specific update or event?

Maybe reinstalling the app with the steps here could help you with this.

Hope to hear from you soon 🙂

I am having the exact same issue with my gear fit 2 pro.

please advise.

Hi @DrDragonFace5

Can you send us your Spotify and Android version? Also, were you able to play your offline songs without any issues before? We'll see what we can suggest.

DrDragonFace5

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro, Spotify Version: Boost Software License- Version 1.0

I was able to download a playlist on my gear fit 2 pro. When I added songs to the playlist on the desktop program (1.0.65.320.gac7a8e02), the gear fit Pro asked if I would like to update the playlist. At this step, the new songs were not downloaded correctly and could not be played offline.

And as @SGT_T states:

- Some songs do not play at all.

- Often when I click on a song it will play a different song.

- Many songs will play the first few seconds and then stop playing.

- I have to constantly delete the downloaded music and redownload the playlist.

- Some songs have the cloud with the "x" on it but still plays offline.

Thanks for letting us know!

Could you let us know which device and Spotify version you're using to pair your Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro with?

Also, does it makes any difference if you pair your Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro to a different smartphone (preferably iOS) through Bluetooth? We'd like to investigate more.

We'd recommend restarting your devices and give it a go again.

Take care 🙂

Hey @hiddenhand, welcome to the Spotify Community!

We'd recommend giving it a go to the suggestions we already posted. Also, can you let us know which device and Spotify version you're using to pair your Gear Fit 2 Pro with

Just to check @SGT_T, when you say "some songs do not play at all, often when I click on a song it will play a different song" is that happening with the songs you already synced or while you're streaming?

If possible, could you pair your Gear Fit 2 Pro to a iOS device and sync your songs?

Take care 🙂

DrDragonFace5

I pair my GF2P with spotify on the iOS 11.0.3, Spotify version 8.4.205.35

Currently, the only way to add downloaded songs to an exisiting offline playlist in the G2FP is to delete all downloads and re-download or re-install the app.

Please fix.

Thanks

DrDragonFace5

The problem still exists if I "pair my Gear Fit 2 Pro to a iOS device and sync your songs"

Thanks for letting us know!

The best option would be to reinstall the app once again and make sure you have the latest Spotify version. As soon as you do it, give it a go and let us know how it goes.

Have a nice day 🙂
