After completing the latest update (beta user), I can no longer search through my playlists when adding a song to playlists. I have over 300 playlists, and playlist organization in Spotify is already a complete mess so it takes a significantly longer time to find the playlists I'm looking for. I realize this problem has been reported previously, but it says it's been resolved in every post, and this is a brand new issue as of yesterday. I've attached a screenshot of an example, I've typed "80s" in the search bar which should be pulling up only playlists with "80s" in the name, and it doesn't sort them at all. It just continues displaying all playlists as if I haven't searched.

My Question or Issue

Typing in the playlist name and pressing enter does not do anything. I have to exit out of the app and go back in to see the updated search results.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out. @RobbieShenanigans, we've moved your post to the Help section and merged it with @hyun1443's since it's describing the same issue.

We currently only support the official release of the Spotify app, so if you're having issues with the Beta version, feel free to report them with the steps under Android - FAQs - How do I report an issue? in this guide.

@hyun1443, can you confirm you're using the Beta version of the app as well? If not, try a clean reinstall instead of the regular one. test with a different device/account and let us know your current app version, so we can investigate further.

Cheers,

My Question or Issue

When trying to add a track to a playlist, but the playlist search is not working? When I  use the save to play list option and I try to search my playlists, nothing is happening when I type the name of the play list.

I have cleared the cache and restarted Spotify and the device.

My Question or Issue

As of today (Oct 24, 2025) when I try to add a song to one of my playlists the search bar does not filter to what I'm looking for. Previously, when I used the search bar to type in the playlist I was looking for, it would filter through my playlists based on the letter I typed in the search bar. Now when I type in the search bar, it doesn't filter to the playlist I'm looking for to add the song to. I have to manually scroll through all of my playlists to find the one I'm looking for.

I've tried closing/reopening the app. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app. I tried clearing the cache on the app. I tried restarting my phone. The issue still persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I use this feature all the time and it's very helpful.

having the EXACT same issue. It worked fine last night, so about 12 hours ago, but as of now the "search for playlist" when adding a song to playlist does not respond whatsoever.

Have cleared cache, signed out and back in, system restart, nothing made a different

My Question or Issue

As of this morning *Oct.24, 2025) when I go to add a song to a new playlist and search for the playlist using "Find Playlist" (which is within the 'add to playlist' menu) it does not work. Nothing changes, my playlist doesn't appear, nothing I write changes anything

Last night, when I typed "Best of Ed Sheeran" in to "Find Playlist" it immediately brought that playlist to the top. Doing that today, that playlist just does not appear, as literally nothing changes

Have tried force stop>clear cache, signing out and back in, restarting phone, and even uninstalling the app entirely and it has no changed. This is serious problem as I have 300+ playlists and need to be able to search for the correct one when adding a new song to that playlist

I'm having the same issue, and it makes using the app very difficult. I also tried clearing the cache, as well as reinstalling the app, but to no avail. Please keep us posted if the issue resolves itself or if you find a solution 🙏

Yeah it seemingly has a few people today already, it's driving me nuts cause I add a lot of songs to playlists & scrolling through 250 isn't gonna work for me. I'll be trying some other things to hopefully get it working but app may just need an update tbh
