Search not working on Roku App

Went to listen through my Roku today and "Search" isn't working / is crashing with:

"Search error

Error searching. (code 16.1)"

This is happening on both of my Roku 3's, my Roku Premiere+ and my Roku Stick.

Though I could give a darn about the "What's New" feature, it also says:

"No content available

No content loaded.

Please try again later."

"Top Tracks" appears to be working, but I would never listen to anything there.

First my playists are taken away from the Roku App and now I can't even search?!?! This basically makes it impossible to listen to anything I WANT on my Roku devices.

Really disappointed in Spotify!

Today, I am not able to search Spotify on my ROKU 3. I contacted Roku, cycled its power, checked its update status, and deleted and reinstalled the Spoify app on it. Still, I am receiving the message "error searching (code 16.1)." How can I get my Spotify to work on my Roku 3 again?

@MattSuda Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post. A lot of us Roku users really felt like we were shouting into the void with the Playlists issue, and I really got steamed on this one because my posts and others were simply being merged with Playlists posts, or declared closed. The whole thing is just too much for me - I have my Roku setup to feed my very nice stereo at my home, where I also work, and so that's really my primary source of music. Like I said, I've been a very happy paying Premium customer for at least five years, but today I cancelled my subscription. I was fine with the Roku app being a very stripped down app - really, all I wanted/expected was the ability to access and play playlists that I either create on iOS or the desktop app.  A month ago with the rollout of V1.1, where the removal of the ability to access playlists was the only "improvement" defintely shed a lot of users, at least it looked that way from the forum. "Search" was the suggested stopgap/workaround suggested by Spotify support - and now that it doens't work, literally the ONLY music accessable via Roku is the 20 "Top Tracks"  A whole app, to play 20 songs.....  Anyhow, I get the exact same error message the original poster gets.  Here's what it looks like on the UI:

@scotty321 Is this the same error message you get when you try to Search?:

I'm having the same issue with the same error code. I'm completely fed up with spotify and its issues. What's the point of having the app if all I can listen to is some random top 20 tracks and not access all the music I pay to have access to! The playlist being discontinued was a HUGE issue. Now this on top of that. Get it together Spotify or continue to lose paying customers.

I am having the same issue. Same exact error code. Cannot search. I have been paying for premium for years, and this issue makes me want to cancel my subscription too. It is now a huge pain to play Spotify through my home stereo.

I am having the same issue as everyone else. I cannot search. I have a roku tv and Spotify premium account. I hope this can get resolved.
