Sharing to Instagram Story Not Working

My Question or Issue

When I share a song to my Instagram Story, Instagram prompts me to login. I log in using Facebook credentials and it does not post the song to my story. Replicated this issue multiple times.

here are my troubleshooting steps:

- force closed both apps.

- relogged out/logged into both apps.

- deleted and redownloaded both apps.

The issues still persist. I noticed this issue after updating Spotify to version 8.4.75.

After the latest update it's impossible to share music on instagram stories.

App version: 8.4.75

When I’m listening to a song and I tap on Share to Instagram Stories it takes me to the Instagram log in page, even when I’m already signed into IG. After I tap on “continue as me”, it takes me to my profile and never continues to share the song.

I noticed on my iPod, which doesn’t have the last update for Spotify nor Instagram, this doesn’t happen and I can share as normal.

Could it be a bug on the latest Spotify update?

Same issue, same iOS version, but on an iPhone 7+ and Spotify app version 8.4.74.328.

1. Open menu on song
2. Click Share
3. Click Instagram Stories, get redirected to Instagram app
4. Get a prompt to login to Instagram (even though I'm already logged in)
5. At this point, you can do any of the steps below to get the same unexpected results:
   
   • Click the X in the top right
   • Login using regular account credentials
   • Login using Facebook
6. Get redirected to my home page in Instagram. I would expect this is where the story sharing would occur, but it does not.

After playing around with this more, I'm pretty convinced the bug is actually with Instagram and not Spotify. Other apps that integrate with Instagram are experiencing the same exact issue. Instagram 67.0 was updated just yesterday.

When I checked the update history, I think Instagram has made some changes to its API as well.

i have the very same issue! superannoying!! I think the bug is on Instagram's end..

I also noticed this exact same issue today after my Instagram updated automatically to Version 67.0. Sharing to Instagram just leads to asking me to log back in, then when I do, it leads to my Instagram profile and doesn't share anything. Hopefully they solve this soon!
