Recently everytime I shuffle I always see more popular bands in the top, multiple times: for example Disturbed, Linkin Park, Skillet. I don't want to listen to them so much, but Spotify seems to favor certain artists when shuffling. I have over 1700 songs.
Count the probability of appearing certain artists everytime I shuffle as one of the first 20 songs.
When I shuffle I don't want to take popularity into consideration. It's getting ridicilous recently, as everytime I start a new shuffle I hear the same songs again and again.
Spotify, make your developers work, as I'm not seeing any progress. You aren't implementing any bug fixes, still many things that are basic (for example confirmation if you want to delete all the offline songs) are missing. Being the biggest streaming service should push you into getting more developers. And yes I don't care if I sound like crybaby, but this is actually really frustating, I am paying for it, and as a developer myself I'm ashamed quite a bit that you don't care about such *fundamental* functionalities.
This is happening on both my desktop client (Linux) and Android
Also this is not the same as https://community.spotify.com/t5/Implemented-Ideas/Implement-an-actual-shuffle-function/idi-p/27607 so don't mark this as a duplicate.
Best regards.
Hey @Ppozniak!
For all feedback about the Shuffle function on Spotify, you can head to this thread.
If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to open a new one.
All the best.
