Skipping back and forth

When I shuffle saved songs it is skipping back and forth and sometimes will lock onto one album and play only that. It’s driving me crazy. Thanks

That happens to me too. I thought it was my new keyboard that does this thing, but apparently not.

What happens:

 - use the keyboard shortcut to skip a song

 - spotify goes to some song and locks onto it

 - can't move back and forth, only pause

 - fixes itself after some time (about 30 seconds)

Seems to happen only with keyboard shortcuts. Restart sometimes fixes it. I guess something with the cache goes wrong and is timebased. Precaching of songs maybe (if there is such thing even lol)

Thanks I just saw that apple music or whatever passed spotify in paying listeners. If it keeps acting crazy I might have to consider jumping ship.

How long has this been happening for? What device, operating system, and Spotify version is this happening on? Also, what troubleshooting have you tried so far? 

Lastly, does your keyboard have media controls? 

We'll see what we can suggest once we have this info.
