Smart Shuffle keeps turning itself on

Hey folks!

Some of you have reported that Smart Shuffle is automatically turning itself on again after being switched off. This is now being looked into.

Note: The Smart Shuffle feature works on a playlist-by-playlist basis. If you turn it off on one playlist, it doesn't mean that it is turned off for all playlists.

I have a simple fix as this happened to me tonight and **bleep** me off since I was driving and couldn’t change it back. GIVE US A WAY TO PERMANENTLY TURN OFF SMART SHUFFLE ON OUR ACCOUNTS!!!!! Everybody hates smart shuffle anyway!!! We are paying for premium we shouldn’t have to put up with random shuffled songs that we don’t want in our playlists or our downloaded playlists stopping and playing liked songs instead the second we go offline even when the entire playlist is downloaded offline!!!!

It's an unneeded, stupid feature, like most modern Spotify features.  Get rid of it, don't fix it, eliminate it.  It was poorly implemented from the start - again, like most Spotify features, ideas and plans.

I'm having problems with smart shuffle recommendations playing at a 10 to 1 ratio with the 1 being songs that are actually on my playlist. As I'm generally driving when this happens it's difficult to see what exactly is happening. All I know is that I'm paying for premium and getting less than free service. I'm extremely unhappy about this.

I actually like Smart Shuffle when it's working properly. However, as well as turning itself on all the time, Smart Shuffle is also "suggesting" songs that are already in the playlist but it can't see that the song is already there. So when I add the suggestion, the song is now in the playlist twice.

I don't want Smart Shuffle turning itself on when I'm on cellular data.

One day it just turned itself on and now I can't turn it off.

this seems to be happening when continuing play after waking the laptop from sleep ? - after which it turns itself on again sometimes even after turning it off again. infuriating

I can play any song without smart shuffle on my laptop but not on my phone

The real problem here is that the smart shuffle option is mixed in with regular shuffle. There's a 3-mode toggle with the shuffle button, which is different from every other shuffle button in the history of shuffle buttons!

I want to be able to go into the settings and disable this "feature" permanently. I do not want to toggle it frequently. I want to opt out from it completely.
