Songs in Play queue are duplicated

Hey folks!

We've received reports that deleting or adding songs in the play queue creates duplicates. This issue only seems to affect the mobile app and playlists with over 50 songs. This is being looked into.

Could you please share your Spotify version? You can find it under the 3 dots menu on the top-left under about Spotify.

Does this happen every time you try to delete a song from the queue, or it only happened once? You can also share a screen recording following the same steps to reproduce the issue, so I can take a closer look.

I can't record my screen. This happens everytime from today (update is a reason, before was good) when I try to delete a song (no matter which) and last song in the queue copy itself instead of showing next song from queue. On browser or mobile there is no problem. In addition I had similiar problem year or two years ago but I had to wait weeks for next update to solve this.

Hello everyone,

As I have been in talks with technical support last few days here's an update.

They have been able to reproduce the issue on their side and it turns out the problem comes from the Spotify app. They will be working on it and it should probably be fixed in a future update.

This said here's some ways to avoid it : 

- Short playlists don't seem to have this issue (smaller then 50 or so)

- If you download a playlist and then put Spotify in offline mode you should not have the issue with this playlist.

Probably worth noting that I've just tried setting my Spotify app to offline and the issue is still occurring. 😞 It is a giant playlist that I used it with though so I don't know if it would apply with that workaround.

• When I play playlists on shuffle, and go into the queue to delete songs I don't want, the bottom song of the queue will repeat. So if I delete 20 songs, then whatever song was at the bottom at the beginning will now be repeated 20 times. If I select it to delete, all 20 will light up as selected. So far, the only way to get around it is to manually play the song and then delete the other 19, but then I've just skipped over the dozens of songs that I did want to listen to. This is a new issue, starting around July 1st.

Problem

When removing a song from queue, the last song in the queue is duplicated, I've tried clearing the cache, Uninstalling and reinstalling the app, this happens with every Playlist even if it's on smart shuffle, on loop or unshuffled. I am on version 8.9.52.552. The device also originates from Colombia.

My Question or Issue

Whenever I try to edit the queue, it's repeating songs instead of new ones. For example if I removed the first 5 songs from the queue, instead of giving me new songs all the way at the bottom, its giving me the last 5 before the removal.

By the way I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall, logged out and logged back in. I tried to do it on my browser and it works fine there just not the app.
