Songs not playing, keep on skipping tracks

Just found a problem after not using the desktop app for a month in my work computer. Whenever I try to play a track from an album it just keeps on skipping and not playing anything. Also for some albums it gives "this song is not available. if you have the file on your computer you can import it" error.

 

How can I go back to listening. Tried unistalling the whole app and reinstalling but nothing.

That's not cool! Could you try to reinstall once more with these steps? Also, could you let me know your OS, Spotify and device versions?

@Hubo I did literally nothing since I was out of office and now 5 days later it's working fine. Here's hoping it'll remain the same.

 That being said, just an hour later it stopped working and started skipping again. I think it's not a spotify issue because it coincides with youtube stopping working as well.

In any case, I reinstalled exactly with those steps and the issue is still there.

Spotify version, i guess, is 1.0.55.487.g256699aa, OS is Windows 10. Can you specify what you mean by device version?

Perhaps it was related to a sound driver or something. Tried reinstalling it and it works now. I'll let you know if I face any further issues.
