Spotify APP Keeps loging out on Samsung UA55MU8000

Hi,

 

Got a new Samsung UA55MU8000 Smart TV.

Everytime I turn off the TV, Spotify APP logs out!
It's really painfull to have the need to log in again every days.

Could you please advise how to fix this?

Just to confirm, is your TV's firmware up to date? Also, do you disconnect the TV from the electric outlet after turning it off?

 

We'll see what we can suggest.

YES - TV's firmware is up to date.

NO - TV isn't disconnected from outlet after turning it off.

As we look to improve the overall Spotify experience, we are removing the app from select Samsung TVs including your model, so some features may not work correctly anymore. However, there's more info here on how you can keep using the app on your TV.

Your answer is unconclusive and not satisfactory.

 

My TV model is fairly recent as I just bought it.
Its one of Samsung latest 2017 models.

- NOT
2015 and prior according to the list here.

 

► Please explain how Spotify APP not staying logged can be the result of "we look to improve the overall Spotify experience" ??

Sorry for the confusion!

 

We'd like to check that everything is under control. Could you let us know what operating system do you have on your Samsung Smart TV?

 

If you're getting any error messages, we'd recommend sending a picture of it.

Hello,

 

It seems you guys pushed an update a couple days ago on Spotify App on Tizen 3.0.

 

The App now behaves correctly while turning Off the TV.

When turning On again, no need to log in anymore.

 

- Thank you for fixing the issue guys. 😉

 

 

 

►  A couple notes:

Spotify APP GUI (Tizen 3.0) the TV

- UX is awful.



1. OVERALL DISPLAY:

It's a nightmare. Almost total failure.

  • Why Albums / Title displays illustrations are so big?
    This takes way too much room, and it results displaying LESS Albums/Titles.

  •  Why only display a few albums/titles per page?
    Only a static big thumbnails view for everything.
    Add the option to display everything as LISTS, while keeping 1x Illustration only.

 

 

2. PLAYLISTS : 

 

  • There is enough room on the TV to display PLAYLISTS the same way as it is shown on Windows Spotify Client.
  • Right now it is NOT userfriendly at all.

 

 

3. SEARCH RESULTS:

 

  • Browsing through Search Results is a nightmare

 

- Being a developper and company owner myself, I understand that there is much to do to satisfy paying customers.

 

- I always push my teams to excellence by asking the to stand on the customer perspectives, views, and user experience.   

- The remaining questions I ask them is:   If you pay for this, would you be satisfied?

 

 

 

However please transfer my email to your board of directors.

 

- You audience is key. Provide to your audience, and your audience shall provide you!

 

- Unless you want to make it perfect on each platform, don't add spotify support in a poorly manner.

- Doing more isn't alsways doing best.  But doing best is always doing more.

- The more you answer your paying customer base, the more you getting paying customers.
