Spotify Android app current song time issue in Chromecast

When streaming music from Spotify Android app to Google Chromecast the current song time does not keep in sync with the real progress of the track. It's reseting itself couple of times depending the length of the song. I have tested this multiple times with different tracks and it's always showing the played time less than it is. The attachments shows in phone and in chromecast progress of the track and the phone progress is correct one.

Could you let us know what devices, operating system and Spotify version you're using? Also, do you remember if this started happening after a specific update or event?

Samsung Galaxy S7

Model number: SM-G930F

Android 7.0

Spotify version: 8.4.25.771 armV7

Chromecast Firmware version: 1.28.100555

I think that it's happened just recent so it's maybe just couple of updates ago when this started to happen.

In this case, we''ll sugget to make sure:

• You have the latest firmware installed on your Chromecast device.
• Your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Chromecast.
