Spotify App for Samsung QLED-7 keeps logging me out once a day

Both the TV software and Spotify app are up to date.  However, I was able to successfully replicate the problem.

 

Essentially, if I turn the TV off while the Spotify app is still open / playing, then the next time I turn the TV back on, Spotify is no longer open, and I have to log-in again using my email / password.  But if I exit all the way out of the Spotify application first, before turning the TV off, then the next time I turn the TV back on and select the Spotify application from the menu, I am still logged-in.

 

I'm assuming that there is some sort of bug in the Spotify app that does not correctly "shut-down" when the TV is turned off suddenly (like w/ a loss of power).

 

For now I will try to make sure to always exit the Spotify app completely before turning the TV off, but this is a VERY annoying bug and would be great if it was fixed quickly.

We closed up the previous thread because we didn't hear back from you for a week. 

 

In this case, we'd like to gather as much info as possible in order to report this. Could you let us know if the same happens using a different WiFi network? Also, can you tell us if this occurs on another account, maybe a friend's or relative's?

I only have one wi-fi network to test this one, unless you want me to try and tether my TV to my phone...  And I only have one account...  Don't know anyone else of the top of my head who has an account...  Do you have a test account I could try?

Could you let us know if the same happens with another app that requires a login setup? Also, do you remember this happening since the very first time you tried it, or is this a new behaviour?

I've only had the TV for about a month or so... The other apps I use don't seem to have this problem (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and YouTube).  As for whether this is new behavior or not, I seem to recall that I had to login several times within the first few days of getting the TV... then I didn't seem to have any issues for a few weeks, and then it started happening again a lot...  I'm still trying to find an exact repro path... I'll post more info here if I do...

Could you try reinstalling the Spotify app directly from your TV? Also, tethering is a nice idea. On the other hand, please let us know the exact model of your Smart TV's operating system, if possible.

 

We know it's not ideal, but we suggest giving your Smart TV a factory reset.

I have the same problem.

Hardware: Samsung QE65Q7F from 2017. Have Spotify pro. The problem is that i can log in on the TV's Spotify app and listen to music. But when I turn off and on again I cannot even open the Spotify app at all. I have to re-install it. Then I have to log in again and it works. ..at least as long as I turn off the TV again. The TVs software is up to date. Please tell me what's the problem and how to solve it because that is really bad!
