Spotify App on Iphone pauses when the phone locks

I have an I phone 7 and when I plug in my earphones and listen to spotify it plays, but when the phone locks it pause the music.  It used to not do this.  Any ideas?  

I also have a problem with spotify increase the speed of playback of my music sometimes.

Which version of iOS, and Spotify are you running?
