Spotify Connect outside LAN should be optional

According to this post https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/As-an-user-I-can-even-control-Spotify-Connect-Device..., it is apparently working as designed that Spotify Connect can control items outside the LAN you are currently on.

I would very much like this to be optional - right now my player lists my father-in-law's Bluesound speakers eventhough I'm miles away, and I've accidentally turned it on at his place giving him a scare.

In other words, please provide a "discover and stream to devices only on your current network" option.
