 Account charged but did not get the premium service.

So I got a reply back from Spotify and they have acknowledged the issue and their payment team is working on a fix. They dont have an ETA os of yet.

@atash55 I think you need a credit card to sign up for trial, it doesnt work if you use a debit card.

Same thing happened to me. I treid paying by UPI. The payment went through, but my account was still on the free tier. I contacted the customer support and the person confirmed that they are currently facing an issue with payments, and that the appropriate team is currently looking into it. They also promised that the payment with the premium subscription would be solved within the 30 day trial.

@ShauryaSingh Yup I realised it later. But looking at the issues people are facing It seems like a problem regardless of the payment method . I'll wait till it is resolved to purchase the yearly subscription.

Same with me as well....paid for year with UPI. Money debited but not got premium.

On the same boat here aswell. Had a support chat with one of the representatives and he said the only thing we can do is to wait till the issue is fixed. No clear information on the refunds though. I have attached the chat-transcript below btw 🙂

I don't know why Spotify is still tight lipped about this issue. This is a serious issue, they should already have made public announcement about the issue. But instead, they act as if nothing wrong happened. What a disappointment!!
