Spotify Web Player redirecting to open.spotify.com

play.spotify.com redirects to open.spotify.com on some browsers. This version of the web player is just not acceptable.

I was able to get troubleshooting steps for this through live chat once before but I don't see this feature available anymore.

After complaining to Spotify support about the redirect and problems with open.spotify.com (not showing all albums/artists in my library, missing radio) I got following reply:

We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the changes in the recent Spotify update. It sounds like you're seeing one of a few changes we've made to Spotify recently, which may or may not be permanent.
...

Well, it seems it is not a bug, it's a feature. Slowly migrating to open.spotify.com? I'm fine with that as long as it has the functionality I expected when I paid for premium.
